My husband and I have known each other since we were 14 and we’ve been together since we were 17. Back then, who would have thought that we would be where we are today. We’ve been happily married for almost 6 years and have also been trying to grow our family for 6 years. After being together for so long, we would always talk about having kids and how we would be great parents.

I have PCOS which is the main reason why we are struggling with growing our family. We’ve been to two different fertility clinics and are now onto our third. Hopefully, the saying, “third times a charm” is correct. We took a long two-year break from our fertility treatments so that we can focus on us. For the longest time, we were so stressed over our treatments that starting our family became mentally and physically exhausting.

With a refreshed mind, we’re hoping that this year will be the year!

When my partner and I received the news that we would require medical intervention to start a family, it was devastating.

I can’t imagine what you are going through. These words feel empty to me. Probably because I don’t think that the person saying them has really thought about what we are going through.
