Amira and Johnny
10 years ago, I was 1 in 6. Today, I am on the other side and can confidently say we made it through. My journey ended happily and joyously with the birth of my beautiful twins who were conceived through IVF. Beyond grateful doesn’t cut it.
As a counsellor and Social Worker, I knew going through the infertility experience, that if I came out alive, I would dedicate my life to helping other individuals and couples who were struggling.
When my twins turned two, I started running a support group for women who were dealing within fertility or involved with treatment. Nine years later, I’m still facilitating this group, now out of Toronto and the emphasis is on helping individuals during one of the darkest periods in their life, providing them tools to empower their fertility experience.
